I have an app where users are guaranteed to spend ~20min on one screen. I’d like to display a text based banner ad that cycles on this screen so that we could potentially offer parts of the service for free.

Has anybody tried anything like this? Do text-based ads generate respectable revenue? Which ad networks did you use?
